Hello

I have been running my FreeBSD box (HP laptop omnibook 800CT) with the 4.3
version without any problem for over 2 years now. I decided it was about
time to upgrade to the latest version.

Unfortunately, when booting from my new upgraded system it systematically
crashes. I then tried to boot from the set of floppies from either 4.5 or
4.4 version it always crash as soon as I select "Start Installation".
However, booting with the old 4.3 set of floppies works just fine. So
something wrong has been introduced in the 4.4 version

The screen shows the following:
---
pci0: <PCI bus> on pcib0
pcib1: <VLSI 82C534 Eagle II PCI Bus bridge> at device 1.0 on pci0
pci1: <PCI bus> on pcib1
chip1: <VLSI 82C532 Eagle II Preipheral Controller> at device 2.0 on pci0
pci0: <NeoMagic MagicGraph 128ZV SVGA controller> at 3.0
pci_cfgintr_virgin: using routable interrupt 3

current process = 0 (swapper)
interrupt mask = net tty bio cam
trap number = 12
panic: page fault
Uptime: 0s
Automatic reboot in 15 seconds
---

When looking at the kernel configuration from the floppies, IRQ 12 is the
PS/2 mouse controller. I tried to disable everything and to change this IRQ
without any luck, I always get the same message.

What should I do, any help will be highly appreciated.

Best regards
Jean-Yves
