I have ported to 2.2.6 the patches for reading audio tracks from atapi cdrom, and finally found the time to patch "cdd" (a very nice grabbing program from Charles Henrich) to work with them. If you want to test things, everything is at http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/cdda/ the version of cdd you find there is still a bit rough, hopefully it will be fixed soon. cheers luigi P.S. now if some good soul wants to put the kernel part into -stable... It is no worse than the rest of ATAPI CDROM support and has close to zero interaction with the rest of the system. In the meantime i am looking at the simplest way to implement timeout handling for atapi peripherals... -----------------------------+-------------------------------------- Luigi Rizzo | Dip. di Ingegneria dell'Informazione email: luigi@iet.unipi.it | Universita' di Pisa tel: +39-50-568533 | via Diotisalvi 2, 56126 PISA (Italy) fax: +39-50-568522 | http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/ _____________________________|______________________________________ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
