It's clear that people can and will be runnin= g=20 FreeBSD on older hardware for a long time to come, and that we can accept o= r=20 disregard this advice -- or even find a middle ground, like determining=20 whether shipping additional kernel configurations would help -- without=20 turning this into a flame war.
