I have gone both ways; removed the older ones and reinstalled the new ones. I ended up wiping out and reinstalling. For some reason, some of the programs require x.1.1 version of libraries. On the other hand, I clean installed the 2.2.2 from the 4.5 cdrom without a hitch and everything is working, video, colors, mouse, mouse wheel, sound, cdrecord, netscape with flash plugin, even the toaster I had in the garage! with one note though; All run well when logged in as root. As a user, get broken:0.0 which I know I have to read up on Xwrapper; Xfree86-4.0. Please let me know if any experience with xwrapper and how to set it up so that the users can also use the machine using startx and their local accounts. Should I pkg_del any of these, or pkg_del them all and install KDE cleanly? k-Thanks k-indly. :) kde-2.1.1 The "meta-port" for KDE 2 kdebase-2.1.1 Base modules for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdebase-2.2.2_2 Base modules for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdegames-2.1.1 Games for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdegraphics-2.1.1 Utilities for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdelibs-1.1.2_3 Support libraries for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdelibs-2.1.1 Libraries for KDE2 kdelibs-2.2.2_3 Libraries for KDE2 kdemultimedia-2.1.1 Utilities for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdenetwork-2.1.1 Network modules for KDE2 kdesupport-1.1.2_1 Mime and UUENCODE/DECODE libraries for the KDE integrated X kdesupport-2.1 Mime and UUENCODE/DECODE libraries for the KDE integrated X kdeutils-2.1.1 Utilities for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kdeutils-2.2.2 Utilities for the KDE integrated X11 desktop kmago-1.1.2 KDE Multiple Automated Get Operations kmpg-0.4.3a KDE Mpeg1/2 audio stream player, handles layer I, II, and I koffice-2.0.1_2 Office suite for KDE2 kvidtune-0.4.1 KDE X-server video setup utility ruby-kde-0.15_1 KDE extension for Ruby (for kde11) zh-kde-i18n-2.2.2 Localized messages and documentation for KDE2 -- Peter Leftwich President & Founder Video2Video Services Box 13692, La Jolla, CA, 92039 USA +1-413-403-9555 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the messagehelp
