Hi all, I promised a resource that would allow anyone to find a FTP server that contains particular releases and SNAP of FreeBSD, and that database is now available for testing (its very beta at the moment). Essentially, the database walks through the DNS starting at freebsd.org and looks for hosts that start with ftp. It then FTPs to that host and takes a note of what releases and SNAPs are available on that machine. All info is then put into a database so you can search. The database can be accessed at http://www.itworks.com.au/~gavin/FBSDsites.php3 and is updated daily at 3am Melbourne time (10 hours ahead of GMT). If you have any comments or critisms, please E-mail me at gavin@itworks.com.au.
