Hi, I just installed world + kernel, with uname: FreeBSD 4.4-PRERELEASE #1: Tue Aug 14 15:06:25 CEST 2001 Much to my surprise, my sound'card' (it's onboard AC97) got recognized as: pcm0: <Intel 82801BA (ICH2)> port 0xdc80-0xdcbf,0xd800-0xd8ff irq 10 at device 31.5 on pci0 for the first time! This is on a Dell Optiplex GX115. However, when I try to play any mp3 using xmms, the sound goes too fast. Xmms plays about 1.2 seconds of the song in a second. Is this a known problem? Should I set some flags in my kernel config? My /dev/sndstat reports: FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Aug 14 2001 15:06:07 Installed devices: pcm0: <Intel 82801BA (ICH2)> at io 0xd800, 0xdc80 irq 10 (1p/2r/0v channels duplex) TIA! --Stijn -- What would this sentence be like if it weren't self-referential?
