This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156) --------------enigA9C70A5A081A3AECFB003B6E Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I reported hard lock issues with ipfw+dummynet on other 7.0 (and 6.3), on= FTP mirror i had to disable dummynet, but then there came out another de= adlocks and i don`t have the time and strength to debug everything from the beggining a= nd to wait for solutions, while going to data center every few days to re= boot machine and in the end there is no solutions... I think the main problem was the ZFS filesystem, while it looked evrythin= g running smootly, every few days the filesystem refused to respond to ev= ery request, and all IO processes were locked up. There were no other way to get the m= achine running but coldboot :( And ZFS was the only advantage in my eyes = that FreeBSD had over Linux when I had choosed the platform for FTP mirror. I know ZFS= is still experimental and not ready for production use, but stil ... May= be it heavy depends on the HW configurations, chipsets, raid configuration,i don`t kn= ow but for me is FreeBSD 7.0 unusable. I give a try when 7.1 or maybe 7.2= come out.
