Tim: Don't take my observation wrong, except that the things you were
saying on a "newbie" list could be misleading if some others believed the
features truly did not exist as you say. They do exist, but have different
command names/syntax.

Also, you merely encountered some installation problems that could have
been for many reasons, none of which were necessarily the fault of the OS
and its ports.... I know the things you mentioned can in fact install quite
smoothly but care must be taken.... or be absent of other factors such as
hardware conflicts ... or from "operator error"....

Give it 30 days and then post another message about the experience which
I'll bet will be different....
