i am trying to install jdk12-beta from the ports but when i do make i
get the following error:

Your ALT_BOOTDIR environment variable does not point
to a valid JDK for bootstrapping this build.
A JDK1.2 or 1.2.x build must be bootstrapped against
a 1.2-v (or later) build. Please update your ALT-BOOTDIR
settin, or just unset it, and try again.

i checked /usr/local/linux-jdk1.2.2/bin and tried to run
java command but got this error:

/usr/local/linux-jdk1.2.2/bin/i386/green_threads/java: error in loading
shared libraries
libhpi.so: cannont open shared object file: No such file or directory

i am using Freebsd 4.2-Release.

has anyone used the ports to install it? what am i doing wrong?
