I'm not sure why 4.4BSD does this. When mounting a MFS filesystem on a mount point with say 644 permission, the mount point changes to 1777. I have observed this with FreeBSD, BSD/OS and OpenBSD. Does anyone know why this is? Peter Philipp (PP2441) Daemonic Networks "In theory, theory is the same as practice, but not in practice" - ???
