I am attempting to use a 4.2gig scsi-2 drive with an adaptec 1542cp (isa) controller. The FreeBSD 2.0.5 machine already has 4 1gig EIDE drives and a SCSI tape (all of which work :). When I attache the drive the controller recognizes the tape, then drive (0 and 1 SCSI ID respectively) but when FreeBSD boots (from the EIDE drive) it will 'hang' when 'waiting for SCSI devices and gives the cmd/buffer full type message. I purchased a new SCSI-2 cable thinking the cable might be bad, same result... anything else I can do to figure this out? -- ------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Wilson mwilson@flash.net System Admin.
