Heh. Many people - see archives of freebsd-isp. It's cheap, fast and
reliable.
Most people use stock FreeBSD installation with 'routed' (for small
internal networks) or, more often, with GateD (/usr/ports/net/gated). You
can of course use PicoBSD "net" floppy, which is equipped with routed and
several ethernet drivers, as well as PPP.
I'm in process of preparing new PicoBSD release (v.0.32), which contains
some bugfixes and new features. I'm also working on more specialized
"router" setup, which will be available somewhere around v.0.4.. :-)
