Have you tried VMware? I use it all the time on my XP box, for test
purposes. :) I installed a FreeBSD 4.7R OS on a VMware box, inside XP, that
I can communicate with in all the normal ways, like FTP. VMware will easily
allow you to add a physical drive to the configuration. So, set up something
like FTP within your VMware box, and take the data right off the mounted
drive within the VMware box.
