I have only quibbles, but since you seem to care...

If "repo" is an accepted abbreviation, use it in both places; else
use the full word in both places.  Or at least use the full word before
using the abbreviation.

The second sentence would read better to me as:

    Next, if &a.portmgr; approves it, &a.cvs; will do a repository copy
    from the old location/name to the new location/name.

(It seems more chronological, in some weak sense, in your series of
steps.)

BTW: Is "location/name" necessary?  I'd think "Location" would suffice.
