https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=281470 --- Comment #102 from Charlie Li <vishwin@freebsd.org> --- Once again, this is not a vote, please cease making comments that look like such. This commit series will not be reverted. This step was necessary because there were enough bickering over why numpy 2 was not available for so long, so numpy 2 is now made available. The publicly available ports tree still has to be buildable as the process of reconciling versions of consumers known and certified compatible with numpy 2 is ongoing. There was bickering about even that before. I don't plan on keeping numpy1 available forever, as it is EOL after all. Only 128 consumers are tracked in https://github.com/numpy/numpy/issues/26191 but we list over 200 build consumers and approaching 600 run consumers, some of which are both. It is also possible that some ports have a stale numpy dependency listing when they don't use numpy at all. The path forward is to start a new PR with a phab review that changes those 128 consumers we have in our tree to numpy 2, and start checking consumers (and possibly other dependencies) from them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
