Hi all, Well, here's the state of play. I can't believe I'm the only person in the world trying to do this. Using ppp I can connect to the remote NT server. Handshaking begins, but fails; 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] LCP: Received Configure Request (2) state = Ack-Rcvd (7) 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] ACCMAP 00000000 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] AUTHPROTO proto = c223 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] MAGICNUM 00007ba2 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] PROTOCOMP 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] ACFCOMP 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] LCP: SendConfigNak(Ack-Rcvd) 06-10 20:01:01 [12303] AUTHPROTO proto = c023 A config request is received; Ack-Recvd The request is not acknowledged; SendConfigNak Now, that AUTHPROTO proto = c223 and AUTHPROTO proto = c023 would seem to be trying to tell me something, but what? Can I presume that if they were both the same, then ppp would go PPP. Turn on in other words, and complete the connection? But then maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. In review. Connection takes place at the modem and logon stage, and PAP authenticates me, and logs me on. The protocol negotiation then starts, but fails, as noted above. I am damned if I can find out why. This ONLY happens when trying to connect to an NT server. I can NOT change the NT server. I will collate all my messages, and responses, and when I get this working, post it to the list, and keep it for future refrence. Thanks for all and any help and assisance, and ideas.
