This is essentially what I was trying to get at :-)
The proposed solution of `dig` and `host` returning "These tools can
be installed through the bind-utils port, or you can use `drill`" I
think would be sufficient.
Having them simply disappear would be terrible, but stubs would make
this possibly the least painful thing.
