I point a particular application to a 7.x system using a login with /nonexistent as the home directory and /sbin/nologin as the shell. I copied the line from 'vipw' into a new 9.x system, and now when I try to connect, the application complains. I also have securelevel=2 ... So, did something change with /nonexistent in FreeBSD 9, or does securelevel=2 screw this up somehow ?? Thanks.
