This discussion reminds me of my mutant Apple ][ Plus, which had a 6 MHz
Z-80 coprocessor thrown in it, in addition to the standard 6502. It
could run VisiCalc ("16 sector" version), plus a bunch of CP/M
applications like WordStar. Sure was a lot of fun trying to run CP/M
without hardware lowercase (anyone remember the ol' "shift key mod"?).
