Not to put a damper on this, but...

According to http://www.macosrumors.com/OSX.html MacOS X will already have
a version of BSD built in and a command line interface will be available.

Given that (and assuming the performance is somewhat decent), how likely
would people be to trade access to MacOS applications for access to an
open source OS?
