Ok, hey guys :), i have two computers, one (the "family" computer) runs windows and is connected to the internet, two (my computer) is running FreeBSD and will be connected as soon as i get an external, now i want to install the ports collection, i know that the most popular way is off the internet with, "make install" i know that make install checks for cdrom to download the sources from, this is what i need to download from so here is my question: i have the "FreeBSD Desktop Edition, it has 4 cd's 1). Installation Cd 2). Live file system 3). Extra packages 4). Extra packages ( the cd's came with a cool daemon logo cd holder :) ) anyways, which cd do i mount to install the ports from? the 3rd? 4th? it depends? i dont know any help is appreciated thanks To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
