In message <399BB7D6.DA03E7D6@cequrux.com> Graham Wheeler writes: : I have a digital camera which uses Smartmedia (compact flash memory : cards). I also have an adaptor for these cards that looks like a : standard 3.5" floppy, and software for Windoze which allows me to copy : files to/from the memory cards as though it is a floppy drive. Compact flash, usually spelled CompactFlash, ans SmartMedia are two different beasts. This sounds like a SmartMedia card (which is smallish (1/4 the size of a typical matchbook) with 4-5 contacts on the front). There are SmartMedia to pccard adapters that work with FreeBSD, but I've not seen any work to make the floppy one work. To be honest, I haven't seen a spec for it floating around. It might be easier to get an adapter and a pccard reader. Warner To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
