Unless you plan to have 3.6, 4.0 and 4.1 in the ports tree I don't think that the minor version number is mandatory here. OTOH as you suggest above, we could have the following in the future: - netbeans3 - netbeans (netbeans 4.0) - netbeans-devel (netbeans 4.1) For now I will request a repocopy of netbeans to netbeans-devel.
