Hi there again, Ok now with my fingers the right way on the keyboard: I encounterd something strange. when putting the following in rc.conf freebsd 5.1 AND 5.2-RC panics on ifconfig. cloned_interfaces="vlan100 vlan200 vlan300" ifconfig_vlan100="vlan 100 vlandev fxp0 172.16.0.254 netmask 255.255.255.0" ipv6_ifconfig_vlan100="3ffe:8114:2000:422::2 prefixlen 64" ifconfig_vlan200="vlan 200 vlandev fxp0 213.204.230.241 netmask 255.255.255.240 mtu 1480" ifconfig_vlan300="vlan 300 vlandev fxp0 195.149.88.57 netmask 255.255.255.252" When not creating vlans from rc.conf , but later (like in rc.local) all works fine. i've seen this on 2 diffrent boxes with 5.1 and 5.2-RC. i'm sorry I don't have anymore data to give you guys. can anyone confirm this problem ? Regards, Joris
