I've made a version of the 'net' flavor of picobsd that includes ee. After
editing a file with it (using /etc/motd for a guinea pig), saving the file,
running 'sh update' and rebooting, the changes have not "taken."

If I then reboot fbsd from the HD, mount the floppy and examine the contents
of /etc, I find I have two versions of each file, one gzipped and one not
gzipped. My changes are in the not-gzipped version of motd.

I could use a clue here. <g>
