There is no quad core. Never was. > Anyways, the install simply doesn't work. See, for example: = https://everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g5/specs/powermac_g5_quad_2.5.= html There was: two sockets with 2 cores each. Apple Marketing called this configuration "Quad Core": It is a misnomer or is at least misleading given what their "Dual Core" vs "dual processor" wording referred to. I frequently reference the "Quad Core" as "so-called 'Quad Core'" for the "PowerPC 970MP (G5) x2" configuration. I have access to two of these and top and other things show all 4 "cpus" (in FreeBSD terminology). =3D=3D=3D Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com ( dsl-only.net went away in early 2018-Mar)
