No one seemed concerned about it : then. I just reread this and it sounds overly harsh. Please forgive me, but I've been ill today. It would have been better stated that right after the feature freeze for 4.0 isn't the time to start working on a PAO merge. It is too late in the ballgame. 6 or even 3 months ago when there was time to do this at our leasure was the right time to do this. That would have been enough time to get things ironed out. Also, the move to a new pccard system isn't helping things and is likely creating some confusion. It is thought that what is in -current (soon to be 4.0R) is a stopgap until this can be finished and the stuff firmed up. That's why there won't likely be a 4.0 PAO release, although the nomads have final say on what they do with their time and resources.
