Retested on 6.3-Release and problem remains.

After installed 6.3-R from a CD and went to post configuration -> 
network -> interface,
pick ti0 and choose DHCP, nothing happened and NIC board lights are off.

Altr-F4 to goto the console, ifconfig showed ti0 is inactive.
Typed in "ifconfig ti0 up", then board board light became green, and NIC 
is active now.
