Hi VGA wizards,
My monitor runs out of vsync with 'vidcontrol 80x30' (x43,50,60 too).
Unlike Windows which is BIOS-friendly (able to open a full-screen DOS
shell in 80x50 chars), the code in /sys/dev/fb/vga.c sux without
comments about the values written to VGA registers. My video card is
a special one for fixed-frequency monitors (SI87's Gemini3D with
Permedia2 chip controlled by special BIOS).
Which register holds the vertical frequency so I can comment out
any change there ?
Thanks for help to hack and add comments to this ugly code.
