That is why I asked the question ``Are you planning to add this to all commands?''. If you think I asked that just to ask, well, no, I really did want to know just what his plans where. > > In 12 more hours I intend to revert the code on mkdir unless he steps > > forward and at least makes a comment. > > That would be a very poor move. This is not a commit war, I have followed the procedure. I have raised the issue and asked for a response. He has not responds, though others have, some want this to stay, some want it gone. Precedence says it goes away until this issue is resolved. I don't need a personal-agenda backout, it meats the SOP that has been here for a very long time, in case of conflict between wanting and not wanting a change it goes out until a final decision can be reached. > > If he does not make a comment I have to assume he is not reading > > commit mail and intend to ask that his commit access be suspended, > > as that has never been allowed. If he had responded, or if you had responded by directly answering the 3 questions I posed this would not be a drawen out thread. Telling me that your alternative was to import fileutils is not going to end this thread. If you feel this is a pointless argument, fine, that is your right, simple go away and ignore us. Remeber it takes two or more to argue... > If you want to talk constructively about the implementation of the > option, I'd suggest you get in touch with Martin Cracauer and sort it > out between yourselves, as he did have some valid points there. I have been talking, or at least ask about the intented plans, just how far is -v going to go, why is it needed on this specific command, etc. What I got was flame bait. Statements that the alternatives where fileutils 4.0, which I did go investigate and stated my findings, etc. -- Rod Grimes - KD7CAX - (RWG25) rgrimes@gndrsh.dnsmgr.net To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
