My droplet is currently 13.0-BETA4 #93 releng/13.0-n244592-e32bc2536297 with no zpool upgrade issues, but I always shut it down and take an offline snapshot before I upgrade it just in case it would blow up. This has been upgraded in place since whatever was current on 2017-04-10.
