I have been contacted by Madge and have been given a license agreement to sign in order to obtain their "SDK". Sounds like they have tried to make their software interface pretty much the same for all of their cards (with notable exceptions I'm sure) So, I am haggling with them to see if I can get a license agreement where I can put the license text at the beginning of the source and distribute the source. I think they are willing but they still might force me the distribute their part as object code (which is not really acceptable...)
