Unfortunately, there are some key people in the BSD crowd -- JKH in particular -- who seem to oppose any sort of strident advocacy. I agree with Jordan on other matters, but think he is very much mistaken about this. So, I've taken matters into my own hands somewhat. For instance, by getting BSD a track at the O'Reilly Conference and by kicking off some projects which I am not at liberty to discuss yet. I think in the end even JKH will agree that the things I'm doing are good. (In fact, as a key player in BSD, Inc., he may actually benefit more than me from them monetarily. Which is fine; he's devoted far more of his life to BSD UNIX than I have so far.)
