We had one or two of them a while back, you're right they won't work with FreeBSD right now. I saw it work with SCO, whatever that's worth. If you're really sold on a PCI serial card, check out Stallion's, their card works with FreeBSD. It also supports up to 32 (maybe 64) ports off *one* pci slot.
