You'd think, but no. You see, the device , according to CAM, doesn't change. Magically, it has more blocks, but it's the "same" device to cam. Atacontrol can remove a device, but camcontrol can't. It seems it would be sufficient to be able to have camcontrol force a rescan, but you can't.
