Hi!

man ntpd and ntp.conf

there also is a section in the freebsd handbook, describing how to setup
a ntp server.

This is what you basically want, and what is in widespread use.

Its simple, even I managed it within a few minutes.
The only thing is to respect some niceness to the operators of public
ntp servers, and only sync from stratum 2 or higher numbers...

Or, if you only have a local client, that does not want to distribute
his time to other servers, you simply need to type as root:

ntpdate ntp.domain.tld

thats all, and can be run via cron
