One more vote for leaving it in!!!
I was new to unix when I first installed FreeBSD 2.1.5 when it was first
released. It only took about 2 months to learn that searching these
mailing lists and reading other available info was *required* when
tracking -STABLE.
IMHO anyone planning on upgrading ***ANY*** operating system should look
before leaping - or suffer whatever extra work which results. This is a
work-in-progress OS, it's user's need to be able to adapt to changes
such as this.
Of course, one can always use stale-redmondian crap while awaiting Windows2000 ;-)
